Sometimes looking good can be an expensive business and especially if you love your cosmetics, it can be difficult to resist temptation when there are so many gorgeous beauty products on the market. And with internet shopping the choice can be even greater meaning the temptation is too. Happily though there are also a host of budget beauty brands and high street stores out there that also have some gorgeous creations that won’t leave you searching down the back of the sofa for spare change!
We’re especially lucky in Europe too since there are such tight regulations on beauty products meaning that they won’t have been tested on animals, won’t contain toxic hidden nasties and have undergone rigorous testing meaning that even with budget beauty products you can shop securely. So if you are a sucker for big brand beauty names that come with somewhat eye-wateringly high price tags, then why not stretch your pound that little bit further when it comes to cosmetics. Below are some of our favourite beauty brands and products that boast great prices.
Avon Color Trend
We are big fans of Avon and to be fair most of their products are really reasonably priced and of great quality too. If it an absolute bargain you are looking for then head to their Color Trend range which boasts mascaras, cute nail polishes, lippies and more with the majority of the range costing £4 or less. The rest of the Avon range is well worth a look too, particularly their matt lipsticks which are just as good as MAC and a fraction of the price.
Primark has really invested in their beauty range in the last few years and these days it boasts beauty essentials that are seriously cute as well as seriously cheap! They closely follow the latest beauty trends and you never know what you’re going to find when you visit. This summer saw the release of the unicorn and mermaid inspired makeup brushes which were pretty much Instagram famous as soon as they hit the shelves. With a continually expanding range, visit your local Primark to see what you can find on a budget.
Just like Primark, Poundland has really taken note of big beauty trends and boasts some great cosmetic staples that only cost of course £1 each. So even for just a tenner you can come out with a makeup bag full of beauty products. With eye palettes, brushes, lipsticks, nail polishes and more, you’ll be able to indulge your makeup addiction even on a shoestring budget. In particular we love their nail art accessories which include gems, stickers and more, and which are ideal for fantastic home manis.
If you really can’t do without your top brand cosmetics, then you can always head to discount designer store TK Maxx since often you’ll be able to find top beauty products at reduced prices. With brands including Essie, Models Own, Elizabeth Arden, Benefit and more, you can get lucky. Obviously in this case you can’t guarantee what you’re going to get though so prepare for some bargain hunting!
